Mark your calendars for a special event. This June 17th and 18th, we’re participating in the annual Juneteenth Festival at Valdez Hall. But we’re not going it alone – we’re thrilled to be teaming up with the Black Wellness & Prosperity Center and Cultural Brokers, Inc. Together, we’re putting a spotlight on a critical cause: safe sleep for our babies.
Infant safe sleep is a vital topic that we’re all passionate about. Safe sleeping practices play an essential role in reducing the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep-related causes of infant death. That’s why we’re making safe sleep awareness the centerpiece of our participation in the Fresno Juneteenth Celebration event.
At the heart of our event will be a special mobile unit where Cultural Brokers be conducting free demonstrations on safe sleep practices. See practical, hands-on techniques for ensuring our babies sleep safely. Whether you’re a new parent, an expecting mom, a grandparent, an aunt, or even a babysitter, this demonstration has invaluable insights for everyone. Stop by and visit with Black Wellness & Prosperity Center staff who will have plenty of resources for you and your family and to answer any questions you have about infant and maternal health.
As we celebrate the historical moment at the Fresno Juneteenth Celebration, we want to celebrate our babies and their future. This is more than just an event – it’s a community initiative. Our goal is simple: we want to help save babies’ lives. And we’re inviting you to be a part of this mission.
